Present:

Full Commission, under the Chairmanship of MR. R. E. BUSH.

The Commission met at the Committee Room of the Legislative Council Chamber at 3 p.m.

Witnesses.—The following witnesses were examined:—J. W. White, Stock and Rabbit Inspector, and Constable W. J. Begley.

Next sitting.—It was resolved to sit again on Friday, the 8th instant, at 10.30 a.m., and call the following witnesses:—Messrs. A. Mason, F. S. Brockman, and Wm. Paterson.

The Commission rose at 6 p.m.

The Commission met at the Committee Room of the Legislative Council at 2.30 p.m.

Witnesses.—The following witnesses were examined:—W. Paterson, Manager Agricultural Bank; Donald Norman McLeod, Michael Ryan, Arthur Mason, Samuel Stevens, and F. S. Brockman.

It being mentioned that the Deputy Surveyor General of South Australia would be passing through Fremantle on his journey home to England, it was resolved to ascertain through the Lands Department the dates of the movements of the Deputy Surveyor, and further resolved that the Chairman be empowered to interview the Deputy Surveyor and take his evidence.

Next Sitting.—It was resolved to sit again on Tuesday, the 12th inst., at 2.30 p.m., and take the evidence of Mr. R. Warren.
