it is to do what is expected of us. We or I am ordered to put Guns in the Infy. firing line to engage various Targets at ranges of from 350 to 600 yds. We are dominated by the Enemys Guns & observation Stations from 971. on our left & are subject to heavy shell fire at once. Our guns get badly knocked about & many casualties. It is impossible for us to discover Enemy Batteries which are hidden in nullahs & behind ridges which our Guns without being able to manouvre & with their flat trajectory cannot reach. May 14th
