done to alternative emplacements. I altered sites of these alternv. emplc. & told HUGHES unless they were completed by 10 a.m. 16th inst I should report him. Afterwards inspected emplcts. being prepd in covered way. Gave HUGHES instructions as to what should be done in replying to Enemy fire, viz to consult if possible with O/C Sect. but if he is not available to use his own judgement in opening fire. Gen Bridges was badly hit today in the thigh as he was going to Col MONASHS trenches.
