G.O.C. authorized me to see Col Timbridge & Capts Madden & McGee re qualifying for promotion and to approve the first two opportunities for so doing. G.O.C. also authorized test of platform plates & expenditure of Ammunition native police to be warned & G.O.C. informed when test would take place. Returned by launch (5 p.m.) to ISMAILIA. dinner at Club. arrived Camp. TEL El KEBIR. 10 p.m. Very wet night from 5.15 p.m. Sunday 6th Engaged in Office Work writing up diary etc. In reply to Wire re list of names for rewards. I again sent on names already mentioned whose further good conduct called for Special Mention. Saw Col. G.
