Monday, Mar 6th Office & Routine Work. Meeting of General White A.Q.M.G. ANZAC Cols ROSENTHAL & CHRISTIAN to settle the allotment of Officers & others to 1st 4th & 5th Div Art. Also recd instructions from Gen White about other matters in reference to our early departure for France which Gen White thought would be about the 21 or 22nd inst I again pointed out to Gen White how the training was being delayed through want of the Reinforcements from Cairo. especially the D.A.C. He promised to go himself there & send them along if possible. 'X' Chains instead of neck ropes should be provided for Horses in the Field & wire ropes in Standing Camps & Angle Iron or Iron Posts. Evening - conference with Brigade Commanders to discuss the best way to help the training Tuesday March 7th Office & routine work Inspecting lines (Art) & Batteries working in the Field. Wednesday 8th Office & routine work 807 Reinforcements & 87 A Class men (all N.C.O.s & men) arrived for the 1st Aust Div Art (without warning & were allotted to Bdes.
