GARE DE LYONS then drove by motor to GAERE LAZARRE left baggage there. visited the Invalides saw trophies captured by the French from the Germans. lunched at Cafe de Paris - had a drive round left for HARVRE by 1705 train & arrived there at 2045 - put up at HOTEL CONTINENTAL. Monday Apl 3rd Called at Base. Saw Base Commandant Bgdr Gen ASSER. got car & inspected 2nd F. Art Bde. at No.2 camp - ascertained that everything was going right & equipment being drawn. Apl 4th Went to No.2 Camp, inspected Guns Wagons & equipment drawn, then to ORDNANCE ascertained number of Vehicles under new table for B.A.C. & made enquiries about DIV ART H.Qs which Lt HIGGINS & D A Q M.G. promised should be delivered Wednesday - recd instructions from DIV H.Q. that 1st Bde to be revaccinated against small pox - Wired O/C accordingly - Also arranged for advance party of 2 Officers & 30 N.C.Os & men from 2nd Bde to be ready to leave on evening of 5th if it can be arranged by BASE.
