Reported at Aust Base, Horseferry Road & drew £50 pay. Dinner with Dennys, Whitehall Mansions. Saw Bric Brac at Palace. June 17th Shopping in Richmond in morning, on River in afternoon at. To night's the night - in the Evening - fine day. June 18th Church in morning, inspectn with Major Merrell, R.A.M.C. South African Hospital in Richmond Park. Very good thoroughly well fitted Bdg. at KARSINO in afternoon. Called on Sandover in Evening. fine day. June 19th Went to Bedford (with wife), arrived about 1.30 p.m. met by Athol. had lunch at Swan Hotel. Saw Mr Symonds in Afternoon told him I had decided not to take Athol away from School this year at all events. June 20th Called on Col Buckley in afternoon June 22nd Called on Bgd Gen Sir Newton Moore. June 23rd Left Charing X for Folkestone at 3.35. Wife, Mr Wradonis Dorothy & John Newmarch saw me off.
