we passed through St POLL where we had lunch, thence to DOULLEN were we received Orders to proceed to Billets at FLESSELLES. arriving there we were told Div H.Qs was at DOMART wire we arrived at 5 p.m. Met the G.O.C. had tea & got our billets which are very nice & comfortable. D. Art. H.Qs is in an empty Villa - which is where we shall mess. This is a quiet beautiful spot with very old church & some old picturesque Bdgs. The country is undulating much like the Sussex Downs - I hope we shall be here in peace & rest from noise & bustle before we are thrown into the fight - The 3rd Division was here before us - July 11th (DOMART) Saw B.G.R.A. & Col. Austin with regard to defective 18 pdrs Stevensons Bde. Carriers for & employment of medium trench mortars & message suggested for coding by A. & N.Z. Army Corps. Prepd Code messages. Most beautiful Walks about here Country like some of the country in Herts. recd Orders this afternoon that our H.Qs to be moved to FLESSELLES - beautiful day - July 12th - DOMART. Left for A.N.Z.A.C.
