(fine day) Augst 20th TARA HILL (fine day) Inspected 1st & 3rd F.A. Bdes in line. Barrage fire as usual. Augst 21st TARA HILL Inspected Battery Wagon lines & 21st Bde in line, in morning, in afternoon D.A.C. & artillery fatigue detail with A.S.C. at SENLIS. 'X' This morning Enemy Air Craft dropped 2 bombs into 7th Batt Wagon lines & killed 9 men, wounded 20 & one officer. Killed 12 horses & wounded several others. it was a shocking sight. this occurred at BECOURT WOOD - Augst 22 TARA HILL Quiet day. Barrage & bursts of fire in front our line, on right, as usual. fine day. Augst 23rd. Relieved by 2nd Div Art by 2 p.m. handed over to C.R.A. 2nd Div Art at 9 a.m. 1 & 2 Bdes to VADENCOURT WOODS. 3 & 21st to BRICKFIELDS. DIV ART H.Q. to RUBEMPRE where we arrived at 3 p.m. 'X' 'X' Called on G.O.C.R.A. 1st ANZAC & informed him Enemy trench through R. 35 had been discovered at 11.35 night. 21-22nd inst & since kept under fire (also request by air plane on afternoon 22nd) (I also informed G.O.C. of my interview.)
