Reported to G.O.C. (Bert dined with me) Sept. 13. - fine morning. Wet afternoon & Evening. Inspected Belgian Batts & 6th, 22nd, 23rd, 24th & 102nd Batts Right Group - Group Comndr & Col. Coney, Belgian Art. accompanied me - Sent in names for Serbian Honours. Sept 14th HOOGGRAAF - Showery - Inspecting sites for rest area for Bdes & for training School. Inspecting Reinforcements for Div Art. - Majority of men with little or no training of any value. Inspecting Stabling in course of erection in Wagon lines. Sept. 15. HOOGGRAAF. fine day. Accompanied Army Comnds in inspecting Batteries in line. Bde Major went on leave. Sept. 16th HOOGGRAAF - fine day - With Major Jopp arranging lay out of Bdgs, Stabling Huts, etc for new Rest Camp & training School. Recd instructions for artillery demonstration from G.O.C.R.A. Saw G.O.C. who appd Scheme. At right Art Group H.Qs gave OS/c Groups & D.T.M.O. orders for Art operat (to assist raids by Div on our right.) at 5 pm & midnight.
