VIVIAN MILL, returned to HEILLY at 5.30 p.m. Shifted billet to House near CHATEAU Mervyn is with me. (fine but misty) Monday - Nov. 13th Went to see C.R.A. left Group at CARLTON TRENCH. - Bgd Gen WILLIS, L'. Col. Bessell BROWNE went with me. also saw L'. Col BRIDGES, C.S.O.1 - 2nd Aust Div. had lunch at 1st Aust Div ART H.Qs. returned HEILLY. 'X' Poor old Duncan GLASFORD, Bgd Gen 3rd Aust Div who was severely injured yesterday by a shell burst died & was buried today - fine but misty - Nov. 14th fine day At Office all day. Gen Christian came in had lunch. Nov. 15th HEILLY fine day. Enemy planes pretty active during night, dropped several bombs near here. 'X' Gen NAPIER left at 8 a.m. I am now in charge at G.O.C.R.A. - controlling 1. 2 Aust Div Art, 12, 29, 30th D.A., 31 Batt. of H. Art, consisting of 131 Guns & Hows. H 9.2 = 20 - 6" How 28 - 6" Mk VII 4 - 8" How - 28 60 pds 36 - 12" Hows 2 - 9.2 Gun 1 - 4.7" 12 front about 3000 yds Nov. 16 & 17th - uneventful days - fine bright frosty - feel the cold pretty severely - Billet however is most comfortable & very good mess & awfully nice fellows - Nov. 18th HEILLY It Snowed during the night about 1" on the ground this morning then a thaw set in & rain now everything is in an appalling mess.
