Ammunition Expended.

During time we were in Action at POZIERES - 20th to 29th July 1916 inclusive. The D.A.C. recd from Sub. Park & dispatched to Batteries 815363 rounds 18 pd - 8.808 rds of 4.5" & delivered 2.095 000 rounds S.A.A. The whole was carried from SENLIS over a distance of 6 miles up two very heavy gradients to Batt. Wagon lines total weight amm carried over 1300 tons. Horses A. Echelon did two trips per day. 24 miles & on some days Some did a third 36 miles. Horses & men doing 3 trips worked all night - Ammunition del. by Sub. Park to D.A.C. in his allotment - morning & afternoon, midday & 2 p.m. Note. 2 F. Art. Bdes fired over 18000 rds, 18 pd. Stuff in 24 hours.
