seemed rather ugly - the Bosche sent men from one of the Guards Divisions into the Job & their orders were to stay 24 hours & capture the Guns. In Afternoon 8th Bde ordered up to form nucleus garrisons for 1st Corps line of defence. BEUGNEY YTRES line & relieve 1st Aust Div April 16th Bright clear morning but commenced to blow & rain about 3 pm cold & rain. Further particulars now available about yesterday.
