Wet & cold all day. Went to see G.O.C. 1st Aust Div about 3.30 pm. with reference to who was responsible for defence of 2nd Corps line he or I. he was of the opinion that I was but this was not so - Corps confirmed this when I rang up Gen White earlier in the day. Went to Corps at Advanced H.Qs near GREVILLERS. had Tea there - then saw Gen White re. arrangements I had made in connection with defence of 2nd Corps line & also about O/C 15th Training Br at SALISBURY & about a report of Govt. stores being stolen by Officers & other others, generally Revolvers, Scientific Instruments F. Glasses etc. 'X' 2 valuable Instruments found a few days ago in a dead Officers kit & hand to DADOS by Batmen. About 9.pm. B.G.G.S. rang up to say Div was coming out for Rest & training & going in back area the whole corps will come out in short time Apl. 18th Snow on ground this morning. cold raw & wet all day - In Afternoon visited G.Os.C. 15th 8th & 14th Infy.
