Called (about noon) on 5th Infy Bde Comdr who relieved our 15th Bde to see if he was alright & give him instructions about Sector 3.p.m Inspected HQs & 10th Coys. of 5th Div Train near BEAULENCOURT. very satisfactory June 16th hot day clear. In morning inspected 49th 51st 113rd 53rd 114th Batts 5th Div Art. near HAPLINCOURT. result satisfactory C.R.A. present In afternoon with A.A. & Q.M.G to see 31st Bn entrain from BAPAUME - done very orderly & quietly. Bgdr Gen WISDOM to Tea. Bgd Gen GELLIBRAND to Dinner. June 17 - Sunday - hot day Very quiet morning not a sound of Battle here at BANCOURT 'X' Handed over to Maj Gen SMYTH. 2nd Aust Div. about 11.a.m. & left for Rest area by car with Mervyn & WAGSTAFF.
