Our Assault-at-Arms took place at HENNENCOURT. it was a splendid success. Gen BIRDWOOD was present & a large number of other visitors including some Aust. sisters from AMIENS. July 5th Fine but dull day. Engaged in office work etc Col. WAGSTAFF went on leave. Gen White & Carruthers called. July 6. Beautiful cool day. To Sniping School all morning extremely interested. Maj. MACHIE commandant (School at VARDENCOURT Went on to sports ground at HENNENCOURT in connection with show for H.M. The KING on the 12th next Bgdr Gen Bessell BROWNE called in afternoon re move of Div Art north on the 10th inst. In Afternoon called to see G.O.C. 15th Infy. Bde about [...] & about 15th Bde training. July 7th Fine warm day. 8. a.m. To AVELEUY to see demonstration particularly model platoon drill by Corps School. large number of Officers present. most instructive & valuable display. July 8.
