At 12 noon arrived at Sports ground HENNENCOURT to see rehearsal of programme for H.M. The King tomorrow quite satisfactory. At 3 p.m. Inspected the Reg & H.Qs Transport of 15th Infty Bde. Gen ELLIOT & all Bn Comdrs present & a very satisfactory inspection. July 12th. Beautiful Summer day. 'X' Today was a red letter day for the Division. H.M. The KING visited us at the Military Command we organized to enable him to see our men at work at play, at training, it was a magnificent display of vehicles & the programme was carried out without a hitch. The King arrived about 11.20 am & stayed about 45 minutes & was very pleased & interested with the whole show which took place at HENNENCOURT & best part of the Division was present at it.
