Staff were present & were lavish in their congratulations of the success of the Show, describing it as a "triumph". July 13th Warm fine day. To 15th Bde Rifle range and manouvre area between RUBEMPRE & CONTAY in morning. In afternoon attended lecture by Major. Musketry instruction from G.H.Q. 'X' July 14th Fine but muggy & hot day. In morning visited Engineers at CORBIE at pontoon & jetty building work. Inspected 5 Div Pioneers, 2nd Coys at same place & saw them at pontoon work, also inspected Bn Transport, Bn satisfactory but Transport not so. Dined with Dodds, Lothbiniere, Manifold, Osborne, Hone. (Heame came with me) at QUERRIER - very nice evening. July 15th Heavy rain during night but fine day. Attended church parade of 15th Infy Bde at 10/30 a.m. at HERRISART - Gen. Birdwood
