a request for 22000 rds of S.A.A. for 15th Bde & some Boots for 29th Bn all said they were quite alright Having heard there was some trouble at 15th Bde H.Qs. I made a special point of asking Gen Elliott if everything was right & recd an answer in the affirmative & that there was nothing that we could do for him. (saw pictures comforts fund in evening very good. July 28th Fine warm day In morning inspected Transport lines of 53rd & 55th Bn & Signal Coy at RUBEMPRE & part 29th Coy A.S.C. at PIERREGOT. Satisfactory- Called on Gen BYNG Comg III Army at ALBERT but he was not in left message with G.S.O.2 thanking them for all they had done for the Division Saw 5th Pioneer Bn on march from CORBIE to BOUZINCOURT looking rather fagged. In afternoon went to AMIENS to see that Rest House had been left in proper order tenancy terminated & damage assessed appd of claim as cut down by Camp Command & Interpreter for 200 Francs in settlement of damages & told Capt. HAMILTON to get a clearance & receipt for Keys & receipt from town Mayor for furniture. [Page] 78
