Saw G.O.C. 15th Infy Bde. at his quarters near SERCUS. He stated that his B.M Capt. STREET was working hard & trying hard to do his job. & he was quite content to carry on with him. I spoke to Gen ELLIOTT about Capt. LEGGE (his Staff Capt) & Gen E said he was quite prepared to have him back in fact would be pleased to get him. Augst 15th Fine day. thunderstorm about 4/30.p.m. Inspected 14th F. Coy. on Route march - fair. To lunch with General GODLEY Comdg. 2nd Anzac at FLETRE (G.S.O.1 with me) Saw demonstration with German Smoke apparatus. 'X' Completed 3 years service in A.I.F today. (left my home in W.A. Augst 15.1914. Augst 16th Very fine day. The 2nd & 5th Army making a further push today. also 1st French Army. Inspected 14th & 15th Infy Bdes on march this morning. Gen MONASH called & had Tea with me in the afternoon Augst 17th Fine day. In morning to 1st Anzac Corps to see G.O.C. re. dealing with Major Thompson & Lieut Ramsy two officers of the 53 Bn. arranged to deal with them myself instead of sending them to C.M. also about Training Batt.
