Sept. 8th fine day. Army Comder. came to see Bde exercise by 15th Infy Bde in new formation near SERCUS At the pow wow he summed up & gave an address on the new conditions imposed on us to meet the new German dispositions In afternoon at lecture by Div. Bomb. Officer. later saw my C.R.A. on various matters connected with his command. Sept. 9th Fine day. To church parade 53 & 55th Bns near LYNDE in morning afterwards interviewed & addressed about 40 Officers whom I had not met before belonging to the 14th Infy Bde. Spoke to Gen Hobkirk about his Bde Major & asked for further report in about 3 weeks. Went on to 8th Bde H.Qs. went to lecture by B.M. & spoke to Officers assembled on new attack formation. In Afternoon went to 1st Anzac. Saw G.O.C. Corps & also Gen White discussed matters generally with re to present situation & impending operations especially with [Page] 97.
