at this function. Sept. 16 Fine day. To London Saw Griffith at A.I.F on various matters then to Hobson then had junch with Sir Newton Moore at Royal Thames Yacht Club. then attended memorial service for late Sir George Reid at Pont St. Presbyterian Church. Had Gen Howse & Gen Griffith & Mrs Wisdom with Wife & Dorothy to Dinner at Pall Mall Resturant (sic) & Savoy Theatre after to see Nothing but the truth- very good show. Sept. 17th Fine day. To Bournemouth- stayed at Branksome Towers Hotel (Wife with me) arrived about 3/30 p.m Sept. 18 19th 20th 21st at Bournemouth. generally fine weather some showers. much impressed with beauty of place & surroundings. very nice comfortable Hotel good table. Had to attend to various matters wired from Division. Met a Lieut. Gibson there from To__yton? who was in Egypt at Gallipoli on Gen Birdwoods staff. Sept. 22nd Showery. Walked with Wife to Canford Cliffs beautiful sites for Houses. Yesterday went to Poole. Sept. 23rd Showery. Returned to Richmond after a most enjoyable 5 days in a most charming part of Old England. Sept. 24th Fine day. In morning went with Wife & Girls to Zoo at Regents Park. had a very interesting day. 63.
