Bgd. Gen. Elliott G.O.C. Bde. & his B.M. & Commandant of School Major DOYLE present. At lunch Bgdr. Gen BROWNE my C.R.A. & L'. Col. tempy Bgd Gen LLOYD present also Maj Parker had conference with his Junior about LLOYD taking over & said good by to Gen Browne who is taking his leave to Australia. Saw L'. REID with his C/O L'. Col MASON about returning to Australia found he had properly performed his duties as long as his health permitted. Afterwards attended 8th Bde Sports at VILLEROY. very good show. Nov. 10th Perfect day. In morning to Church Parade of 5th M.G. Bn & H.Qs. 8th Infy Bde at RAMBURES - fine band of the 8th Bde in attendance. very good service. To lunch Gen Wisdom & his Staff Captain Major James our D.D.M.S. & L'. Col. SPRINGTHORPE of the medical service whom Gen Monash wishes me to post up & inform on the work of the Aust Divs. since last March for publication in a series of press Articles in the Aust press Spent all the Afternoon & evening doing so. Nov. 11th Fine day. L'. Col Springthorpe left us for Paris this morning. Capt Hamilton my A.D.C & Camp Comd left for 5 days 86
