Sunday May 9 Have had 15 days under heavy fire (Shell & Rifle) Murrey returns after being posted dead. Thursday May 13 Len Darcy Wounded. Sunday May 16th Concert held in our dug-out. Wednesday May 19th Last night Turks started a pitched battle still raging Jack Simpson killed after doing splendid work, attended Burial Service in evening (six buried) Sunday May 23 Battleship aground while being tugged off wonderful bombardment.
