In afternoon we had Gramophone in Ward & enjoyed it In evening we (three of us) walked out along the promenade on the Nile which is just out the gate & enjoyed very much after we had Ice cream & Iced Lemonade. coming back excitement was caused by a large Crocodile swimming up the nile a party put after it evidently to shoot it. Sunday Aug 15 Walked down stairs to breakfast porridge Tea, Bread & Jam, Dinner Chicken Marrow pots Monday Aug 16 Countess De Lavison & party gave a concert at 7 pm in Sultans Palace Gherizche Hospital. I sang (Your eyes) Lady sang (Ave Maria Cavalier first) Man sang Somewhere a Voice is calling & My Dreams. After a walk over Bulag Bridge in Pyjamas. Ice cream & drinks very pleasant evening [Page 24]
