Tuesday Aug 17 (12 Months) Obtained pass for pay accompanied by Hornage & Johnston caught car Cairo, walk round, pay office, drew £3 had Tea, visited Soldiers cafe drinks, attended opening of YMCA by Sr. John Maxwell Esbekerh Gardens speeches pictures & band after Fish supper, carriage home. Home Violin & piano playing beautiful. Bath. Wednesday Aug 18 Left Palace 1 pm Cairo Walk afternoon Tea Heliopolis Tea. Cairo walk. Kursall Vaudeville Show Supper Russian Bar. Cab arrived Home 9 pm. Chas Debrious groaning all night.
