Saturday Nov 13 Gray & Mead leave sick Monday Nov 15th Lightening & Thunder heavy showers Wednesday Nov 17th Met Tom Hornadge slept in station Artillery Rd. Very wet & stormy night Saturday Nov 20th Arrived Home from Shell Green and found a big shell had burst in cook house Wounding Sergt Hayes, Corp. Taylor, Corp Lofts my dug out being full of dirt, Copper & dixies smashed to pieces Heavy Bombardment.
