Saturday Dec 18th Visited Villages. Church. saw room full of Skulls & Bones Sunday Dec 19th Visited 28 Battallion and saw [...] found that George was still in Egypt also saw Hunter, Sharpe Head. Thursday Dec 23rd Reveille at 6 am. Received Christmas Billies last night. Boarded Tug John Mitchell and taken to Caledonia which is a Two Funnel Liner about 15,000 Tons. Met Charlie Thomas on Board in 10th L Horse his Brother Conic Killed at Quinns Post. Friday Dec 24 Christmas Eve On Board Caledonia. leave Lemnos at 9.30 am. Slept on poop Deck and was awakened at 12.30 pm on account of men washing Decks. [Page 43]
