South. 65/8 75/12 65/6 Fresh breezes & Clear Wr. went on the Lake-side to collect seeds with La Mia Moglie [Italian for 'my wife'] & Mr. Green the Latter fired the whole country in Lighting his pipe & we were obliged to fly before the smoke & flames - O28 Friday 29 S.E 65/8 70/12 65/7 Fresh breezes & Cloudy Wr. went as far as the granite rocks to collect for the Manglecian box. returned in the evening. Mr Green left my boats anchor up the River. O29 Saturday 30th SE. 76/3 Strong breezes & Clear Wr. "[...] au Loir." Ginger out all night & in the Garden. Sunday 31. S.E 76/6 Light breezes & Moderate Wr.
