Friday 22nd Ironing all day with a furious headache Brown clearing & planting Cabbages & Blenchynden making Wash stand Brown & Blechyndn at the saw pit Saturday 23rd Brown clearing Blechynden put up dressing Table & finished Wash stand The Express returned from Augusta with a letter from Lelina Sunday 24th The Palestine Arabian Whaler came in Monday 25th Brown Kangarooing 1 Large Goomer Blechynden planing wood for Barracks Dick cooking & cleaning Afternoon Brown & Blechynden at Saw pit La Donna churning. ['La Donna' is Italian for 'the woman'- she's probably referring to herself] Tuesday 26th Mrs Guerin & Molly here 8 dozen buttons 3d pt dozen Blechynden at work for Barracks Brown leading timber & planting Cabbage Wednesday 27th La donna washing Blechynden at work for Barracks until evening then mended a brick of the Sofa. Brown leading timber & gardening Thursday 28th Brown and Blechynden set off to the Wanneruss Barracks with windows & doors. A party from the Bussells set off to Leschenault. Friday 29th Blechynden at Wanneruss. Brown digging near ? & planting Chats!!
