December 1839 Sunday 1st Went to the Beach in search of Vasse Apples found a few. Mr Green here at night Monday 2nd Very hot. The Leschenault party returned Blechynden at Wonneruss. Brown Leading Timber & hoeing potatoes. Tuesday 3rd Mrs Ommancy George Elliot D called. The Palestine sailed for Leschenault Mr Green here I preserved Apples Blechynden returned Wednesday 4th La Donna Washing Blechynden mended the Sofa made steps for Ladder Brown Kangarooing Thursday 5th Blechynden at Ladder Brown digging potatoes near Stock yard Friday 6th Blechynden completed Ladder & the end of Mrs Turners house Brown at Mr Knights moving goods La donna churning Saturday 7th Brown leading sawn timber Blechynden at roof of Cattle shed in the evening Brown hoeing Potatoes & digging the remainder. Mr Layman borrowed 7 leaking hooks [different handwriting- John] Sunday 8th The Champion arrived, Palestine from Leschenault.
