Saturday 29 We were initiated in to the mysteries of a sea pie at dinner a curious compound of chicken, pork, potatoes and onions. On Michaelmas day we concluded it by cracking nuts in Mrs. Joseph Harris's cabin. Sunday 30 Prayers by Mr Harris. A slight disturbance at tea in consequence of Bessey's asking for Port wine and water. The Captain rose and desired the steward to say that no wine was to be placed on the table at tea. A little coolness ensued but the next day when Lenox demanded an explanation it was agreed that as so little wine was drunk at table the ladies were at liberty to [Page 16]
