In one side the skies are still tinged with the last rays of the sun whilst on the other the moon rises in all her exquisite loveliness whilst her image is reflected on the water with the faithfulness of a silver mirror Today Madeira was visible to some Bessey caught one glimpse of it I was not so fortunate. All has been harmony today The Captain though hasty is not vindictive This morning I watched the fish which was playing around the vessel Four dolphins were to be seen and Mr. Joseph Harris pointed them out to me they were very small and had more the appearance of green serpents than any thing I had before imagined but the green is certainly most vivid and beautiful.
