Bessy tells me that her journal is to be devoted to [...] & that she puts down any thing as it pops into her head this she intends as an apology for "scramble hall" though I consider hers far more methodical than my own Yesterday Saturday we had a pleasant little evening party beginning with music and ending with quadrilles [...] arrangements but no dearly beloveds. Mr Lewis & Mr Dawson were my partners with the Latter I had one of my tremendous tete à tetes despite of Bessey's reproving looks I could not resist hearing all about our darlings but he will tell you all this. Mr Browne's house is thatched with the bark of trees and looks very pretty. This of course will be sent to the Stuarts, Bussells, Adrian Lills Mrs Charlotte Witherfield and the other dear friends the [lack?...] of whose love to us will never be effaced by absence or any other cause My dear Anne [...] ranks high on our list God bless you all once February 3 1833 [Page 48]
