Augusta October 31 You will see that I am now on a visit to this lovely spot on whose beauties I have not time to dwell as I am necessarily less my own mistress than when at home. This morning Mr McDermot's little cutter the Cumberland came in The Ellen in whose company she sailed from the Swan has proceeded to King George's Sound and will probably be in in a few days. I have many letters on my hand and little time for them I must therefore avail myself of this opportunity to thank Mrs Lewis Bartholomew for her very kind letters [Page 13]
