They are not far enough advanced . If they had proceeds of this coming crop given to them , most of them would be able to get along satisfactorily. Another thing is I consider they should all go in for mixed farming. Mixed farming should be the mainstay of the district. Not many have stock.

6268. Some of them have a cow or two, but there are no sheep in the district. One farmer named Fink had 300 sheep at one time but he is now in Germany. The dingoes ate them. The farm is about six miles from here and is now owned by Quinlan and O'Connor.

6269. By the CHAIRMAN: To sum up, you would like the Commission to make a recommendation with regard to your unpaid debts of 1914 and you think the position of the district sound enough with mixed farming?— Yes.
