acres are cropped. About 800 acres are cleared. There has been some mismanagement, otherwise there would have been more crop. What crop there is however, will yield, I should think, from two and a half to three bags. There are 15 horse and 12 cattle on the holding. There is one matter that I should like to mention and that is that there is no water here at this siding, which is largely used by settlers, and I have to return home 15 miles from here before I can give my horse a drink. There is a dam four miles further away. Then there should be a telephone or a telegraph office here. I had a break down with the machine recently and if I could have got near a telephone I could have arranged to have the repairs effected and for the implement to be re-turned next day, but in the alternative I had to wait for a mail or would not get the article back for a week at least.
