with feloniously & unlawfully throwing a spear at Johnny Walley abo at Kojou. On the night of the 29th ultimo with intent to spear him and do him some grievous bodily harm. The case was dismissed Bob Jutimara is identity with the perpetrator not being proved. After P.C Hackett had left for Walebing. I left for Newcastle where I arrived at 11pm same day 8. P.C. Hackett returned to his station Newcastle on 10th inst. I beg to add that I have read the attached correspondence. There are 2 warrants out for the arrest of nat. "Abraham". And there is no warrant out for the arrest of any of the other natives. I sent P.C. Hackett to the Plains Station on the 17th inst. to assist P.C. Monger in endeavouring to arrest Abraham. And also to arrest the other two natives or ? them out of the Plains district. I have since been informed that Abraham was seen by natives of Berd Clarkson's sheep station at Chertaup 8 or 9 miles from Newcastle on the 15th instant. Davis Gilchrist 22nd Dec 1880.
