69 450/39 Moore River Native Settlement, MOGUMBER. 21st AUG. 1941 STAMP: (DEPARTMENT OF NATIVE AFFAIRS 22 AUG 1941 PERTH, W.A.) The Commissioner of Native Affairs, Murray Street, PERTH Dear Sir, RE BAPTISMS 350/39 Since requesting your approval for the Baptisms of Mrs Robinson's children, the mother has decided that she would prefer her children to be baptised in the Roman Catholic faith as one has already been baptised in the faith before she came to the Settlement. I have therefore notified the Priest from New Norcia and asked him to get in touch with you. Ti Calyan, Mick Gilbert, Bob of Murgoo, and Betty Oxenham are still receiving instruction prior to Baptism and will be presented at the next monthly visit of the Rector. Doris Craig has been held over until her mother has had further instruction. Both Molly Craig and Rosie Green were receiving instruction but as Rosie has now gone away I would be glad to receive permission regarding Margaret Green's Baptism. Re Wadi Milo (commonly known as Christmas) This blind lad has been coming to me for a number of weeks for instruction and I think he is now nearly ready for Baptism. I would be glad to receiving your instructions regarding his and also a Christian name by which he could be baptised. Yours truly Sister Eileen
