67 J/SB 15th August, 1941. Miss M. Belshaw, Badjaling Mission, YOTING. Dear Madam, On 22nd August, 1939 a native child, Evelyn Jones, was removed from Badjaling and placed in the Moore River Native Settlement. Would you kindly advise me whether Evelyn was ever baptised as it is proposed to baptise her in the Anglican Faith provided there is no objection on the part of her parents. Yours faithfully, COMMISSIONER OF NATIVE AFFAIRS M/SB 15th August, 1941. The Superintendent, Moore River Native Settlement, MOGUMBER. With reference to Sister Eileen's letter of 4th instant, I have to advise that I have no record of any of the children she mentions having been baptised. I am making enquiries however, and will advise you later as to the result of such enquiries. In the case of May Drummond and her two children, May herself should be able to decide what religion they are to follow. COMMISSIONER OF NATIVE AFFAIRS
