JC/SB 450/39 1st August 1941 The Superintendent, Moore River Native Settlement, MOGUMBER. On the 3rd ultimo Sister Eileen forwarded me a list of natives whom she proposes to present for confirmation some time in September. In the following cases I give approval to confirmation in the Church of England. Bertha Beracha Elsie Little Kathleen Gygup Liddy Nellie Betty Oxenham Eva May Blanche Quartermaine Ernest Colbung Fred Jacobs Frank Albert Douglas Oliver In regard to Tiny Onslow, Gladys Onslow and Billy Nellie, I have no record of their following any religion and they are old enough to decide for themselves. I am not favourable to change of Religion and if they have no religious faith they can be confirmed as Anglicans This will also apply to Herman Hannah and Leslie Hannah but their mother Lottie Hannah is at present at the Moore River Native Settlement and her approval will have to be obtained to the children being confirmed in the Church of England. COMMISSIONER OF NATIVE AFFAIRS Blup 20/9/41 to see who was confirmed
