57 D.C.N.A. With reference to the list of candidates whom Sister Eileen proposes to have confirmed in September, the following remarks are given about each, and your approval is required to their confirmation in the Church of England. Se page 53. Bertha Berache. - approved. Baptised at M.R.N.S. on 14.4.38. in Anglican faith so I take it you will approve of this. Tiny Onslow. Comes from Mt. Stewart Station. Religion not known. She is ¾ caste native aged 27 years and should be able to decide for herself. Gladys Onslow. A half-caste age 26 years. Her religion is not known but she is old enough to decide for herself. Elsie Little - approved. She has already been baptised in Anglican faith so I presume there is no objection. Kathleen Gygup - approved. Aged 14 years. Her parents Norman and Linda Gygup were married in Anglican faith at the M.R.N.S. so I presume there is no objection to Kathleen's confirmation in the Church of England. Liddy Nellie - Approved. Aged 13 years. Her father Billy Nellie is at the M.R.N.S. and also wants to be confirmed in the Church of England. I wrote to her mother and she approves of Liddy's confirmation as an Anglican. Betty Oxenham - approved. Age 12 years. I wrote to her mother recently and she desires that Betty follow the Anglican faith. I take it there is no objection. Eva May. - Approved. Age 12 years. Eva's mother was confirmed in the Church of England so I presume there is no objection to her daughter being an Anglican. Blanche Quartermaine - Approved. Blanche was baptised in Anglican faith at M.R.N.S. on 30.8.36 so I presume there is no objection to her confirmation in Church of England.
