40 JC/L 450/39 14th May, 1941. Mr. R.W. Fremlin. Murgoo Station, MURGOO. Dear Sir, I thank you for your letter of 26th ultimo advising me that there is no objection to Bobbie, Elsie Gilbert and Mick Gilbert being baptised in the Church of England. Only three children who have been brought from Murgoo Station in recent years, have been baptised, viz. Agnes Seward, Freddie Lindley and Kenneth Lindley. These three are the children of Rosie Lindley who was baptised in the Anglican Faith at Moore River Native Settlement on 14 April, 1938. The three children were baptised in the same faith as their mother after this date and consequently no information had to be sought from you. Mary Corbett, Bessie Stokes, Percy Whiteman (Stokes) and Kenneth Lindley have not yet been baptised. Yours faithfully (?Signature?) COMMISSIONER OF NATIVE AFFAIRS
