20 JC/SB 450/39 4 September, 1940. The Superintendent, Moore River Native Settlement, MOGUMBER. On the 19th instant Sister Eileen forwarded a list of the candidates she is preparing for confirmation, and asking for my approval to present the candidates mentioned before the Archbishop on his next visit to the Settlement. I herewith give my approval for the following to be confirmed. Edie Harris Lizzie Eyre Dora Battle Ruby Calyon Darcy Lawford Lennie Ogilvie Hurtle Quatermaine There were four others included in the list viz. Daphne Thompson. On 12.7.1936 she was baptised by the Rev. Pierce at the Settlement in the Presbytarian faith. Her father, Arthur Thompson is a Presbyterian and until he agrees to her confirmation in the Anglican faith, I refrain from giving my approval. Phyllis Narrier. I understand that Phyllis' father, Frank Narrier is a Roman Catholic but I do not know her mother's religion. She can be confirmed in the Anglican faith providing the consent of both her parents is obtained to such course. What is the personal card number of this girl please? Rene Hart. Providing her parents consent this girl can be confirmed in the Anglican faith. Please advise me of her personal card number, age and names of parents. Gordon Whiteman His mother is dead and father unknown. I have no objection to his confirmation by the Archbishop on his next visit.
