Orders issued for entraining & detraining. 'X' During our stay in the line from 16th to 23rd we fired 40,000 rds 18 pd. & 3000 rds 4.5 - 10 killed 50 wounded. Augst 25. RUBEMPRE Inspected Bdes & D.A.C. in their Bivouacs as above. Inspected 53 O.R. reinforcements that arrived at 1100. About 10 too small for Artillery, majority not properly trained & unfit to go into Batteries. reported to G.O.C. fine morning, Showery toward evening. Augst 26. Left RUBEMPRE for HAZEBROUCK at 9.30 with Bde Maj. via DOULLENS, ST POL, LILLERS, ST VENANT. very enjoyable though heavy showers on way & arrived 1245. Good billet. good meals at Restaurant. quaint old Town. Augst 27. Called on C.R.A. 4th Aust Div & met Bgd Gen CURRY - Bgd Gen R.A. heavy Art. Called on C.R.A. 4th Imp. Div. for particulars of Section we are to occupy - Send our Div Art H.Qs from PATRICIA LINES to Huts, etc we are to occupy near D.H.Qs at HOOGGRAAF (these are very comfortable quarters prepared by the Canadians) (fine) Augst 28.
