29.5.15 Turks attacked vigorously at 3.20 am- Blew up sap at Quinns, + then rushed our trenches 6.30 am, received orders to proceed with all available men to reinforce Quinns. 6.40 am recd. orders to proceed at the double to foot of Quinns + then personally to report to C.O. post- officers 18 others 486. Carried out instructions + arrived at position at 6.55 am- Before moving off. our Bivouack tremendously shelled from 3.20 am- Regt QMS Rosevear slightly wounded + Capt Robinson, bruised by shrapnell. but returned to duty. Lieut Campbell seriously wounded, at Quinns, while with Regt waiting to reinforce- + sent to hospital A perfect hail of shrapnell + bullets + a terrific din of bursting bombs, + a stream of wounded met with on the march to position Issued orders to carry 14 boxes reserve ammunition The following list of casualties reported.
