October 1839 Friday 11th Mr Green opened Pardoe & found the heart almost gone & the liver highly inflammed & much decayed. Bletchington still ill Dick at the Saw Pit & Brown Kangarooing Saturday 12th Dick dabbing, Brown harrowed the ground over again & dug in the garden Bletchington at work Corporal Gile arrived and brought the surprising intelligence of Mary Kennedy's arrival 4 ships had gone ashore & one the Elizabeth from Singapore a complete wreck. The black Nanny fawned but could not find the kids. Sunday 13th Expected Molloy all day Ambrose Knight fell into the well. Monday 14th Bletchington making window shutters Dick & Mr Hurford dabbing Lanom not at work Brown led one load Wood & such a load!! then wattled the Well & dug ground for Cabbages Cobell & Jim arrived with a letter from my dearest Molloy Rations to Mr Hurford of 1/4 lbs Pork 3 lbs Sugar 30 lbs flour. 2 yds Dimity & 1 yd Cambric Muslin to Mrs Knight [different handwriting- John] Tuesday 15. Arrived at the Vasse the American Anchored ?
